Last updated: 10 April 2024

Stroller Patrol (“Stroller Patrol,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy, and protecting the privacy of its users (“you” or the “End User”) is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from End Users or that End Users may provide when they use the Stroller Patrol mobile application (the “Application”) or via the Stroller Patrol website, accessible at https://www.strollerpatrol.com (the “Website”, collectively with the Application, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy describes the information that we collect from End Users as part of the normal operation of our Application and in providing the services to you, and how we use and disclose this information. However, this Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising), that may link to or be accessible from or on the Services.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully prior to accessing or using the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you consent to Stroller Patrol’s data practices and agree to terms and conditions stated in this Privacy Policy. Do not access or use the Services if you do not agree with the following policies and practices. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Stroller Patrol Mobile Application End User License Agreement (“Terms of Use”) accessible at https://www.strollerpatrol.com/term-of-use/.

Our Policy Concerning Children

As stated in our Terms of Use, the Application is offered and available only to End Users who are 18 years of age or older. If you do not meet this eligibility requirement, you may not use the Application. Stroller Patrol does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16. We will delete such account and related information if we become aware of it. Parents or legal guardians who believe that Stroller Patrol might have received any personally identifiable information from a child under the age of 16 may submit a request to [email protected] and request that such information be removed.

The Information We May Collect

Our primary purpose in collecting information from you is to provide you and our other End Users with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We only collect information about you that we consider to be necessary for providing services and features that optimize your user experience and to make it safer and easier. We may collect different information from or about you depending on the manner in which you use the Services.

Personally Identifiable Information: Stroller Patrol may collect and process information that could be directly associated with you without the aid of additional information, such as your full name, company name where applicable, username and password, phone number, and email address (“Personally Identifiable Information,” or “PII”). In addition, information that you submit, or that we collect, that is not Personally Identifiable Information but is necessary for the proper functioning of our Application is termed Demographic and Usage Information (see below), which is generally non-identifying, but associated with you as a specific and identifiable person, may become PII. You always have the option not to provide information by choosing not to use the Application or by not using the particular feature of the Application through or for which the information is being collected.

Communications: When you communicate with us by email, mail, telephone, or through/via the Services, we collect information about your communication and any information you choose to provide.

Mobile Analytics: Stroller Patrol may, according to the terms of our relationship with the wireless carrier and your privacy settings, collect certain information about End Users and their mobile devices when the Application is accessed through End Users’ mobile or other Internet connected devices. We use analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Website and Application on End Users’ mobile or other Internet-connected devices, which may record data relating to usage, performance, and download and will be treated like Demographic and Usage Data (discussed below).

Demographic and Usage Data: Stroller Patrol may collect information through the use of cookies, HTML5 local storage, and other similar technologies. “Cookies” are alphanumeric identifiers in the form of text files that are inserted and stored by your web browser on your hard drive. Stroller Patrol may set and access cookies on your computer or wireless device to track and store preferential information about you. We may gather anonymous information about End Users through cookie technology on an individual and aggregate level. Such information is used within Stroller Patrol internally and is only shared with third party advertisers, if any, on an aggregated or non-personally identifiable basis. You may opt out of receiving cookies from our Services by following the instructions in your web browser. Note, however, that deleting cookies or directing your browser to refuse them may limit your ability to use certain portions of our Services that require cookies to function. As is true of most other websites and mobile applications, Stroller Patrol gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, operating system, and other usage information about the use of the Services, including a history of the pages you view. We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you, including PII, to improve the Services, to provide you with customized recommendations and advertising, and to improve marketing. “Web Beacons”, also known as pixel tags and clear GIFs, are electronic images that allow a website to access cookies and help track marketing campaigns and general usage patterns of visitors to those websites. Web Beacons can recognize certain types of information, such as cookie numbers, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page where the Web Beacons are placed. No PII about you is shared with third parties through the use of Web Beacons on the Services. However, through Web Beacons, we may collect general information that will not personally identify you, such as: Internet browser, operating system, IP address, date of visit, time of visit and path taken through the Services. Stroller Patrol may use Web Beacons internally to count visitors and recognize visitors through cookies. Stroller Patrol may collect other non-PII as End Users browse the Services, such as the web traffic, what pages are visited, from where End Users come, and other demographic information, such as age, gender, and search habits. We may compile this non-personally identifying data to enable statistical analysis of our Services that would be used internally or with external assistance to make improvements to our Services. Stroller Patrol may provide non-PII to third parties, including advertisers, though these parties will be unable to identify End Users based on this anonymous information.

Location Information: The Application collects real-time information about the location of your mobile device. The Application collects current location information from users using GPS tracking technologies when the “track” function is enabled on the Application.

How We Use the Information We Collect

Stroller Patrol uses the information it collects for a number of purposes. We may use it to respond to End Users’ inquiries and otherwise correspond with End Users, to process transactions that End Users request, to maintain User accounts, to preserve the security and integrity of the Services, to conduct market research or surveys, and to administrate, review, and/or improve the content of the Services. We may also use the information to communicate with End Users about other services that we think may be of interest.

Stroller Patrol provides to parent/guardian End Users the current location information of caregiver End Users. To avoid being tracked on off-duty hours, caregiver End Users must disable the “track” function to avoid inadvertent disclosure of location information.

Stroller Patrol may use and share non-PII we collect with third parties to develop and deliver targeted advertising on the Application or applications of third parties, and to analyze and report on advertising you see. We may combine non-PII we collect with additional non-PII collected from other sources. We also may share aggregated, non-personal information, or personal information in hashed, non-human readable form, with third parties, including advisors, advertisers, and investors. For more information regarding your choices about how third parties collect information about you on our Services see the section titled Do-Not-Track Procedures below.

Except as stated above, Stroller Patrol may disclose any of your information, which in some cases includes PII, in the following situations:

  • With your consent. Stroller Patrol may transmit your PII to a third party when you give us express permission to do so. For example, this may occur when we track an End User’s current location if the End User does not disable that function.
  • In connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of our business; a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale; or in the event of bankruptcy. If another company acquires Stroller Patrol, that company will take on all responsibility for the information we collect, including PII, and it will assume all rights and obligations with respect to that information. Should this happen, the acquiring company may implement its own policies with respect to your information.
  • If required by law. Stroller Patrol may be obligated to disclose an End User’s personal information if directed by a court of law or other governmental entity. Without limiting the foregoing, we reserve the right to disclose such information where we have a good faith basis to believe that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law; (b) protect and defend Stroller Patrol’s rights and property, or safety of Stroller Patrol, our End Users, our employees, or others; (c) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the Services and/or to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements or policies; and/or (d) protect the personal safety or property of End Users or the public. In the event that your information is disclosed, we will comply with the law and make commercially reasonable efforts to notify you.

Please be aware that all of the information that you disclose or content that you post in your user profile, forum posts, comments, or other public portions of the Application becomes public information. Because this information is publicly available, we cannot control how others treat it, so we ask all End Users to exercise care in deciding what information they chose to share.

If you terminate your Stroller Patrol account, we may retain your personal information for administrative purposes but will not display it publicly or share it in any other way.

Data Retention

We will retain your data for a period of up to three (3) months (or the maximum time required by law) after your account has been cancelled, terminated, or suspended. After this time, the information will be permanently removed from our servers. Your personal information such as your email, name, type of account you had, and payment history will remain on file for a period of up to ten (10) years, or the maximum time required by law, to comply with government regulations.

Access to Your Information

Stroller Patrol will provide each End User with access to PII that it provides to Stroller Patrol for as long as we maintain that information in a readily accessible format and will work with End Users to correct any error in their respective PII. If you wish to access or correct any PII that you have submitted through the Application, or to have Stroller Patrol completely remove your PII from our systems, please send an email with your specific request to [email protected]. Additionally, note that registered End Users may change visibility of their respective personal information throughout the Application by editing their personal profiles.

End Users who provide their email addresses to Stroller Patrol will always have the opportunity to opt out of receiving email newsletters and promotions through the unsubscribe link in the email communications, by logging into and changing the preferences for their user account or sending us an email with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line to [email protected].

Securing Your Information

Stroller Patrol takes a range of security measures designed to protect your personal information and keep it confidential (unless it is non-confidential by nature, for example, publicly-available information) and free from any unauthorized alteration. However, the Internet by its nature is not a secure environment and the nature of security risks is constantly evolving, as are the technical and organizational industry standards relating to management of those risks. Therefore, the complete security of any personal information collected, stored, or used by Stroller Patrol cannot be guaranteed. In the unlikely event that an unauthorized third-party compromises Stroller Patrol’s security measures, Stroller Patrol will not be responsible for any damages directly or indirectly caused by an unauthorized third party’s ability to view, use, or disseminate such information.

Third Parties and Other Information Collectors

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties through the Application, including with other End Users or individuals, different rules may apply to their use, collection, and disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. Since we do not control the information use, collection, or disclosure policies of third parties, you are subject to their privacy policies. The Services may include links to third party websites, which contain separate and independent privacy policies. Stroller Patrol is not responsible for the practices of, or content contained within, these third-party websites, and strongly recommend that End Users read and review the privacy policy of any such sites that they visit.

Do-Not-Track Procedures

Note that any Do-Not-Track instructions from your browser, mobile device, or similar mechanism will not affect our collection of the data that End Users voluntarily provide to Stroller Patrol through such means as browsing the Services, signing up for any of the Services, entering PII into information fields on the Services, or posting on any of our forums or blogs. Be advised that third parties may collect any information that you volunteer to Stroller Patrol that is visible to other End Users or the public. Therefore, please do not provide Stroller Patrol with any information that you do not want collected.
